HDTV calibration?

Hi all

I have access to a mid-range HDTV which I think can go up to 720p. I was wondering if there is any non-DVD calibration tutorials or tools around?

I can easily hook up the TV to a computer using the VGA input hence I am looking for a simple step by step website or PDF that guides through the button tweaking.

The ideal tut would have all the fancy test patterns but skintone and movie captures references aswell. I mostly came across calibration DVDs while searching online but I'm sure some lighter reference exists somewhere.

well you can't beat avia or digital video essentials dvd calibration. however there is a displaymate demo but for all of the good test you'll need to pay as well.
this is a free calibration program but you need a colormeter for it.

The Digital Video Essentials discs are the only one's I'm familiar with. Unless you get a certified tech to calibrate your TV (which can run $400 or more).
