Hi, I'm taking part on a contest at 3d4all.org (a brazilian cg message board).
It's a redesign challenge, we are supposed to pick an old 2d game and recreate it's characters.
I've picked Ben, from Full Throttle to do.
Here is what I have so far, hope you like it!
Concept:
A 3d sketch for the face done in Mudbox.
The low poly head done with Silo's surface snapping features:
High and Low
And the low cage

Head - the mesh is very clean and the whole look is close to the concept.

Surface snapping makes modelling so fun, and fast.

Your guy isn't as bit a departure as I'd initially thought. Its a very good redesign. Something that you could perhaps consider to make him look a bit more haggard, is to bend his nose bridge to one side where its been broken and not mended properly.

Jackblade - I'm glad you're liking it. I don't think i'll break his nose, but I'm going to give him a more haggard look, maybe it's already a bit more with the new eyes and mouth (I've retouched his mouth corners). Also, I believe the texture will make a huge difference about it.
