Hey guys, not done yet, but I'm an impatient whiner-baby so I am posting some WIP shots. Basically, I am going through some simple RGBA texturing, and a basic directional light, using the Torque Game Engine (kinda old school); writing down my process and reasoning as I go. The purpose of this tutorial will be to show the theory and application of art principles in games, to get the most mileage out of your available tech.
Both of these models were made by my cohort, Adam deGrandis, and are being animated be him as well.
Still WIP (said the whiner-baby):
256x256 RGBA
and the pogo WIP:
512x512 RGBA

It's funny because he looks like he's going to cry. (and that's funny.)
I was hoping to sit down and get these all written out today but that didn't happen :-\
it's meant to coinside with the other tuts that i am doing. Plan is to have them all typed out and up by the end of the week, otherwise they go to the backburner.
You might wanna tweak the spacing between text and images - sometimes it's not plain what image the text pertains to.

Personally, I favor text next to the image rather than above or below. Much clearer that way.
Nice Tuts Eric! Always good to see community members giving back.
If it's confusing for anyone, feel free to post about that. Also spelling, grammatical, or academic errors (I did not go to art school, some the of the theory may be askew) feel free to post about that as well. I will make changes where necessary, so long as time permits.
Thanks for the comments, folks!
