Any Tivo "series 2" owners?

Looking into getting one of those 'series 2' tivo's, mainly cause of the option to pull the vids off of the tivo onto your computer / personal media player. It's a feature I know my family would put to use, just wondering if anyone here has one and is using this feature much, and also if there's any limitations put on the format / file? Also, any other comments on the setup, positive or negative?
