So where the fuck is half life episode 2, I thought this shit was supposed to come out every few months, it seems like it's been forever since I finised episode 1.

They're also release TF2 and Portal with it. Most likely its delayed to time the 3 projects together.

Welcome to 'next gen'. Where we've been biting off more than we can chew for several years now.

I predict we'll have to get used to games being pushed back for a while now until management and publishers get more familiar with the process.

Question is, will the consumer grow tired of waiting for these products?

What I hate about the new episodic content are the cliff-hanger endings they have. Sure it makes you want to buy the next episode but when you have to wait 10 months of the next episode its very annoying. I'm still waiting for the next episode of Sin and that came out before HL episode 1. I have to know what happens to Jessica

pyro: in movies it can be even worse.. thinking of lotr and matrix, lotr having one year gaps and matrix having 2 year gaps. atleast they didnt annonce it to come earlier and pushed it back tho.

I heard a rumour that Sin Ep. 2 has been canned completely. Anyone else hear anything about this?

I actually enjoyed playing through Episode 1. It was nothing ground-breaking but I did enjoy it.

HL2 episode 2 (and accompaniments) were pushed back to the summer (last I read). Wouldn't be suprised if it's to give Valve more time integrating multi-core support into the engine for it.

I can't wait though. It's a hell of a 3pack, that's for sure. TF2 and Portal look like hellacious fun, and Ep2 just looks kick ass. Can't wait!

Just that its a rumor. They've had some pretty big shake ups there and more than likely are not commenting on it because they are not sure if they want to or have the right people to continue with it. It is rumored that a bunch of the art team also left as well as the lead programer and 1 of the 3 co-owners. They could have stalled on the project while they recoup and try to push forward?

I think they should at least be fair and do the name justice and release one more to tie everything up. After all it is SiN EpisodeS. And they where pretty vocal about episodic content. I think the biggest hurdle they aren't getting over is that because of the price people are thinking its budget-ware.

I'd rather companies spend the time to finish their products, so they work. Call it a response to playing too many EA games. If you can't stand the wait...stop waiting. You'll still be here when it arrives...maybe.

Yah, I've read at a lot of places that Epi 2 is canned - check ChaosEngine if anyone is a member there.

the solution to this is easy, wait until they have released all sequals to something, then you can buy them all at once.

Perhaps level lord's mustache has corrupted ritual from within. That would suck because I actually thought the gameplay in sin ep1 was super addictive.
