Okay so I watched the video for this in like 2004 or something? And thought, great another fucking game in the dark where I have to use a shitty flash light and eat shit. Then I see this trailer for the game and everything is different, no space ship, no crap dark everywhere lighting and the main dude has the throwing star from Krull. Looks more interesting now and I will definately give it a try when it comes out. Did this game go through a complete redesign at some point?
I think it´s the third game with the name dark sector about that digital extremes release some information or trailers.
Some years ago there were some concept drawings and renderings about an online game with the name dark sector on the website of digital extremes, then this splinter cell in space trailer and now this version. Personally, the space stealth action was the most promising game concept for me.
I seem to recall the visuals looking better in earlier iterations of the game than shown in this trailer.
Still, that might have been because the previous ones were all in the dark so you couldn't make out any detail
I recognised some of Strangefate's environment stuff in there though, cool
And here is the original, holy fuck it was dark I could never play a game where I can't see where I'm going, I did that in fear and doom3 and now I'm on strike, people should learn how to light with level design in mind or they should not make lighting.
Malcolm, that Dark screenshot is from the cinematic trailer from old version two years ago, dunno how much it'd translate to gameplay, but you should check out the full trailer, it was pretty awesome!

This one feel like it's been toned down quite a bit, and i feel a little heartbroken
It does indeed look like it draws a lot of inspiration from RE4 ..
