didnt you catch this at x06 a few month back? I've been in love with it since then, I replay the trailer on the 360 live periodically too. As long as they dont screw up the ability to sandbox around the world, they've got my money already!!!
I love the work the prince of persia team up there put into their authenticity, beautiful stuff.
it's actually Sam Fisher under the white hood. Either that, or it's just lazy effects slapped over the footage at the behest of some clueless marketing director who thinks that making the screen go fizzzz while screwing up the scan lines is totally fuckin' next gen, and the game just wouldn't pop without it. Goddamn.
I read over on the SA forums that you're playing the role of a characters who's the ancestor of another assassin thats in our future. Basically the story starts you off as him, probably through an NIS, but you play the entire game as the medieval assassin.
I really like what they're doing with crowd mechanics, that should add a good deal of believability to the game. I'm curious as to how they're able to make all the geometry so interactive. Is it procedural?
the fighting mechanics look a little odd to me, what with one hit kills, but it is a good incentive to do things stealthily. looks like a pretty sweet game, when is it supposed to come out

I remember reading a while back that Ubisoft was developing a game engine for this type of series (and PoP, Splintercell, etc.) where if anything extrudes out from a base more than X amount of units than the AI/player will be able to grab on to it. Rather than the Tomb Raider way of doing things where it's obvious the player grabs a certain ledge, or slide a certain rail.

I watched the trailer during the x06 event - very astounding what the team has done. Can't wait for this one.

I like the idea of one hit kills. It's less about hacking and slashing and more about swordplay. Like the Bushido Blade series.
