Hey everyone. Out of shame, I wasn't going to post this, since 99.9% of you guys absolutely dwarf my skill when it comes to modelling, but I thought maybe someone out there could possibly learn something.
Disregard my sleepy/half intoxicated rambling.
Most of the modelling and work in this is very very sloppy, so sorry
. When I watched the video the next morning, I realized how crappily it was done. That's what I get for doing a tutorial at 3:00am after a night at the bar. Har har har.
The final model got cleaned up quite a bit. If you want, read the readme file before watching the video, I noted a few things that I should have done differently.
As always, please let me know your crits/comments/suggestions/death threats.

Yeah I know it's a big file. I wasn't having much luck compressing it any more, though.
SUPER © ftw!
This is a great (free) video utility which handles all kinds of formats and compresses things very nicely.
i'll probably watch it today.
while i think the method you used for modeling the knife is overly complex (and therefore overly long), the tutorial itself was pretty clear and easy to understand.... atleast for me, absolute 3ds max noobs may have a problem following it though.
but in general its pretty good.
