Wow, looking very nice. I think once you build up the diffuse texture it's gonna look great. Make sure to add tone variations in his skin; like around his ears and under his nose could use some pinkish-red. Try to give some of the color in his clothes a little saturation, too? Not sure about that. Play around with his silhouette around his arms, especially his forearms look just a little off, but the normal map is very nice.

Bulk up his hands just a little, too. He looks very cool!

P.S. - It's almost 3 in the morning and your avatar is really creeping me out.

why do you have a normals map if you're painting all your lighting in your diffuse?

Great work, but I agree you shouldn't paint lighting in the diffuse if there is a normal map.
