Games for Mom?

So I helped my mom build a brutish new Alienware laptop...Core2Duo, Radeon X1800, 17" screen, the works. Now asks me to find her a good "Medieval" game. I'm like "Uh...half of them are medieval" Anyone have suggestions for a good story-driven RPG that a 50 year old Mom would like? I'm leaning towards Titan Quest since she's a fan of Greek mythology but I can't tell from reviews if you can build a female character. TIA.

I'd suggest Oblivion! there's a lot of room for you to set your own pace, lots of exploration, beautiful sets and landscapes, wide range of playable characters.

I know that a friend's mom plays the hell out of Diablo 2. So either that or Titan Quest may be a good bet.

Titan Quest ist good, but the story is only medicore. So if your mom really is into hack&slash type of RPGs go for it, otherwise I would suggest Gothic3.
Oh and yes you can have a female character in TitanQuest (but not in Gothic3).

There's always the old school FPS games like Hexen, Heretic, etc.

WoW is an option. So is Dark Age of Camelot. The Diablo series is dark, but easy to learn.

Guildwars is another possibility.

Dude get her Titan Quest. You can make a female character. The story is not the most riviting thing about the game, but if she's a fan of Greek Mythology, all the celebrities are there. and If she takes the time to talk to all the npc's she'll get a lot of Greek mythology info. Plus an expansion is coming out soon, that takes place in hades.
PLUS with that system, she could crank it and get to see all my uber armor that I made in full glory!

Even though a part of me hate the game, I'll have to say oblivion too, it's truly a "set your own pace" rpg with lots of exploring.

Oh, and I second the bg1/2, there should be a collection out now that's very cheap, and it runs great on modern computers.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I picked up both Oblivion and Titan Quest, so if she doesn't like either of those, I probably will TNSLB is a Dark Age of Camelot fan and she's a girl...
