Hey guys, long time no pimp! I've been trying to make a model to get 3d printed so I can give it to my mum as a christmas present. It feels like ive been going in circles with it for a while and need to finish it up soon so it would be great to get some comments from fresh eyes!
im not sure if anyones going to be intrested to see how the model progressed but here is a bunch of images saved while making the model.
definitely an awesome model, frankie *two thumbs up* didnt know you were working on a personal project. proportions look good and so do the muscles. only thing im not sure about the lenght of the legs tho. either upper legs are too long or lower legs too short. i think its the lower legs.
warbys got a point tho :P not a very suitable present

I disagree, give it an awesome greekstatue like pose and it'll be the perfect gift.

Out of plastic... hmm not so sure if that really looks good.
Anyways, if you pose him naked please don't leave him neutral like that, it just looks childish.
I agree with the comments on the legs. Also, I notice a bulge on the lower/base area of the thumb, if you spread your fingers out, and move your thumb up and down, you'll find that the "bulging muscle" is actually connected to the pointer finger, rather than the thumb. Sorry i don't have the muscle names down, but judging from the shots your presented, it just looks backwards.
Other than that, I think it's great! Still think he should have some characterization to make him more 'gift-worthy'. Keep on keep'n on, man! I think it looks good!
Nice work Frankie, I like the classical feel very much, need more of it.
Things that really stick out majorly are where the triceps and teres, major and minor are intersecting a bit wrong round the back and `underarm there. The thumb as mentioned and also all his digits look too skinny for his build.
Classical styled ref, so you can learn all the names too http://firestarter.burning.it/stuff/muscleref.jpg
arr a pimp from that franksta! not everyday ya see that.
The statue is looking pimp dude.is there anyway you could make the "skirt" (I can't remember the other word ) less solide looking and add some more folds? how big is the model gonna be?
Though im also curious who or rather where it is your sending it for print?,what are the rules and regs? been wanting to do one of these with Josh. havent got round to it yet though .
I was hoping to get http://www.3dmodelprinting.com/ to do it, but there are loads of places, just search for rapid prototyping. For the US http://www.3darttopart.com/ seems really good and cheap, i've seen some prints by them and they look cool! Im sure rockstars seen them too.
