Anyone know if anybody takes used xbox's and controllers in for credit?
I have two xbox's and like 7 controllers, and now that i have a 360 i don't see any reason to keep them.
Man, if you posted this like 2 months ago i probably would have bought them... As it turns out I bought my friends' and turned them into little linux-box servers to run my CS and Quake3 servers...
ebay them. get creative with the description and i'm sure some idiot will snap them up. if you're really good, you'll be able to make them think they're ps3's
Stores will give you very little credit for it since the market is flooded with used XBoxes. It will take longer but you can sell it for more online, of course if you don't care how much you get and anything is a bonus just take it to EB or gamestop there are plenty around =P
install linux and make a set top Mame machine! You can even take the ram from one and solder it onto the other one's motherboard (although it looks a bit scary to do)
Both ebay and gamestop give store credit for trade-ins. On a regular day they give store credit worth $50. A special deal a few weeks back was trading in your xbox got you $80 off the purchase of xbox 360.
Like I recommended you, half.com is a great place to sell, it took me 5 minutes to set up a seller profile and post up my xbox, then it was sold for $125 + s&h within 2 days. For a little more effort you can get a lot more than what you'll get for trading it in.
