I don't know much about Christopher Nielsen, but I'm a huge fan of Simon Pegg. Anything this man does is awesome (see SPACED!). I like the overall style this seems to have. I wonder when it'll hit DVD or theaters here in the states. As much as I enjoy the family oriented animated films of late, it's a welcomed change to see something more adult oriented. Nice find arsh!

Based on that poster alone, I'm pretty sure that one won't get play outside the "art" theatres around here. As far as looks go ... well, it certainly has its own style and seems to have some internal consistency within it. "Hoodwinked" was another CG movie that looked like crap (like they got their models by doing a search for "free" on Turbosquid and hired animators of matching talent), but the writing and voice talent were far better than the visuals.

Hmm just seems like a bunch of ridiculous and lame ideas jumbled up because they could. I think of it as an ultra high budget college student flash animation.

I'm a fan of this movie. I didnt expect it to be well recieved outside of norway tho, since there are a lot of stuff that wont translate very well. I do recommend you all to give the movie a chance tho, even if it looks amateurish in some parts. This movie is based on familiar characters and the animation style is based on a series of shorts based on some of these characters. These shorts has a distinct style. Some errors like texture stretching and clipping cant be excused by style tho, and it is hard for me not to notice it when i watch the film. But all that aside, its a fucking hilarious movie, and i would recommend it to anyone who ejoys dark humor.

It could be done all by hand puppets, if it's written by Simon Pegg...it's gonna be funny as hell. Also, I don't think this had an 'ultra high budget'. I think it was done on a relatively moderate budget.

i think it looks awesome. Simon Pegg is great, and he only wrote the english screen play. i am assuming he will change the Norway specific humor. i don't know how large the budget was, but it is the most expensive Norwegian film ever made..
