1st Post, 1st Character - StreetFighter Redesign
Hi, I've only been working in 3D for a couple of months and this is my first character so go easy on me ;-). I'd wanted to get it finished in time for the Street Fighter comp but I was way too late.
Before the Street Fighter tournament Zangief was a wrestler known as the Red Cyclone so this is my interpretation of his previous alter ego. It's a younger Zangief, he has slightly fewer scars and less of a beard. I see him as having no mohawk but perhaps the current Zangief's hair style refers back to the stripe on his old mask.
I'm fairly pleased with the model and although he distorts horribly in some places and I couldn't seem to get it right - not sure if this is because of the model or if I messed up with the biped but probably a combination of the two.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

If you lose the dark brown from his chest hair and the really tone-down the shadowing on the legs and shoulders, I think it will come around alot better. You could easily half the poly count and have the same model.
