I'm looking for some techniques you guys may have while modeling in max. I'll see if I can explain it correctly without making a bunch of images wink.gif

First is how to divide a poly in half. Maybe I'm overlooking a button, but right now I use tesselate to split a poly in the middle, but since it creates a cross pattern, I'm always left cleaning up the edges I don't need. I know there is a slice tool, but I'm looking for something that would do a split dead center.

The second thing I've been wondering about is moving a vertex along an edge. How can I move a vertex and have it follow the edge rather than having to adjust all axis'?
