those lobster pics look just like a delicious semi-famous seafood restaurant close to where I grew up in New England. makes me want to take a trip back... where are those taken?
thats 4 different (possibly semi-famous, who knows) places in new england ...
if i've got this right ...
top - little hut thing in rockport MA (bloody dry town, hence the bloody non-alcholic beer, that was i shock i tell you when we'd been driving all day)
2nd - warrens lobster shack (?) just outside portsmouth
3rd - whatever that really old oyster bar in Boston is called
4th - place in Bar Harbor, on the quayside. Dunno what it was called, but it was in the same building where you get your boat trip tickets That was fucking brilliant. It'd been raining all week (this was the may floods) and the weather broke as we sat down in this place and watched the sun set over the water and ate this mental meal, the memorty of which is actually causing me to get a froth on at the moment ...
God, i'm starving now ... we're really missing something in the UK ... best i can rustle up at short notice is a dressed crab in Whitby ...
neat, I've actually been by all of those except the one in Bar Harbor. If you're ever back, check out Woodman's in Essex, it's the place I was thinking of. the fried shrimp is so delicious, you can get everything on your plate (shrimp, onion rings, french fries) to be the same beautiful golden fried color. add salt by the barrel and real beer = yum!
