Funky workflow but I found it super-useful for UV-ing architectural models. To paint UVs properly, you must be in a perspective view, with the mesh in-between you and the Z-axis ground plane.
Ahh yes. Eric showed me UV Paint in the big max script/plugins thread. Damn nice for doing architectural stuff. It has it's downfalls though. You have to convert the object to editable mesh (iew) and then unweld all of the UVs (major iew). After that, it's cake. Then you have to reweld the UVs and convert back to editable poly. Overall though, pretty damn slick.
Chugnutt's tools are great as well.
I downloaded the demo of UVTools and it is really cool, it automates lots of tedious tasks, which is nice. I downloaded UVPaint but havent installed it yet. Gonna try it out somewhere this week, haven't used my pc in a couple of days since my left wrist has been hurting me.
