This is a project I am doing just for fun. Its not orginal or anything but fantasy art is my favorite. I wanted to try making a high poly version and projecting the detail onto a low poly. Crits and workflow suggestions would be much apreciated.
Im basically finished modeling the head and now trying to bring the body up to the same level of detail.
Here is some concept art

This of course assume the detail will be added by pulling faces away from the current, smooth body.
I think it could do with more shape to its back. It's a carnivore so it's spine is more flexible, I think its lower back should be pulled in more. So you'd have big bump (shoulders) valley (lower back) not-as-big bump (hips).
I also think the back half should be larger, at the moment the arms much longer than the legs, giving it a bit of a gorilla appearance. I'd also lower the shoulders so they are more like a horse's
You can see how the scapula points down as opposed to the side like in humans, so the actual shoulder is quite low. The muscles at the base of the wings would help bulk up where you currently have the shoulder, so it should still be able to keep a similar physique to what you have now.

im not sure if you are just basing your piece of this concept or going for a replica, but some good reference for you too would be to google bearded dragons.
anyways, lookin cool, keep it up.
In general Im trying to stick to the concept art, but I dont care much for the anatomy in the first concept so that might get changed around a bit. I will probably make the spine curve like Lupus mentioned cause right now he looks stiff.
Thanks, everybody for your input.
Oh come on, you were thinking it.
Where's the penis?

Good point^^
This will be hipoly mesh to zbrush, detail, and lowpoly to zbrush, project hipoly to lopoly. Anybody have any experience with this method?
Im focusing on the anatomy around the wing/shoulder area right now. The current wings are placeholders and will be detailed more.
This first image is distorted from the perspective, so the porpotions look weird
and the wireframe, its just under 10k polys
on to the diffuse map
