GUN art redo- Hollister

This is an early WIP. I'm about 3 hours in at this point.

I'm making a new asset of an old character in my spare time. For any fans of GUN, this is Hollister, the crazy Civil War Sergeant in the game.

I chose this character as a project because I completely designed and created him. Other characters I created usually had a concept artist develop the initial design.

Hahahahahah, I like it man, the wrinkles over the nose and around the eyes especially. Get it finished quick before Ben-etta is born. :-)

Awesome work. My favorite part of the character is the bear skin. I hope you get to that part.

Thanks Slum. Yeah, me too. I want to finish the entire character. I may or may not update and hopefully improve a few aspects of the design as I go.

Everything looks good. The top of the ear could fold over a bit, maybe you can pull the edge down some to get it to hollow out. He needs some eyebrows.

The eyes are looking great. Are the eyeballs seperate objects?

I think you did a great job on it, the face would fit in any leone movie. My only crit is that I don't think a scar like this could exist. If the injury was over his face this way, there would be a part which was not harmed on one side of his nose, otherwise the scar would be a lot deeper on his nose.

Lordscottish: That makes sense, to an extent. Your theory assumes that some kind of blade slashed across his face in one swift motion. Who's to say he wasn't ritualistically cut by a torturous gang of evil-doers?

I was thinking he go bull whiped, so it wraped around his face slightly. ouch...

The wound was supposed to be self-inflicted. A slow cut across his face with a knife. He's a total psycho.

All the other comments pretty much fall into the fact that I haven't touched those areas yet.

Thanks for the comments guys. I plan to add way more detail to the sideburns and hair in general, but I have yet to determine the exact method that I'll do this. I'm looking into using Ornatrix to create the hair textures and normals.
