BEEP BEEP BEEP dump thread.
Thought I'd dump these while I remember them. They're all quick and dirty lunch time doodles, so either 1 or 2 hour sculpts.
I'll try and post more as I do them or find them littered around my hard drives/usb sticks/laptops etc.
bust 1
bust 2
work in progress alien mutant zombie freak sheep. Baaaahh.
Maybe the sheep grim reaper?
Replies
the zombie freak sheep looks like itd fall on its face
tried using projection master to put spheres into the eye sockets? the eyes on the second bust are a bit lumpy
HAHAHA ha ha har har *cough*
tremulant :cheers man, I'll probably have another bang at the sheepy but not too keen on its overall design.
gavku : hell no! haha no seriously, I'll try to but not getting a lot of free time at home to do my entry. To tell the truth she just needs texturing and I haven't updated my sumea post to reflect her at that stage since I'm not happy with her yet
in the end even if I dont get her done in time I'll still finish her. The competition is really only something to help push myself - I've won it twice before so I'm not really -that- fussed about it besides having a motivator for my own personal development.
aniceto: haha I can just it face-planting... bahhh *crunch!*
Good tip with projection master, I'll have to try that.
Slash: haha mind if I steal that name?
JKMakowka: holy crap you're right, that's quite scary actually. Let's call it subconscious fan art
Xenobond: Cheers! I wasn't sure if I was allowed to share my rendition of mr. Zug
Askhat: Thanks buddy - have to get your help with improving my sculpt techniques. Cheers man!
Here's my rendition of zug zug that Mr. Xenobond mentioned:

[Hrm...you mentioned "rendition"...so I'm assuming it is a character that several people have attempted? So perhaps that wasnt your post on cgchat.com].
Are you the same fella who posted this back in August on cgchat.com?

that's this dude:

My one crit is on the second zbrush, the fat man bust, and maybe to a lesser extent the first alien bust, there's some areas that feel way too lumpy. The roll of fat under the chin is pretty smooth, whereas his fat rolls have some odd lumps...
killingpeople: it's mutual - I'm a KP fan for the time lapse I set up a fixed camera, locked the xyz transforms, and tried to remember to screengrab every time I saved and pasted it into photoshop... I'm sure there's a better way than that (actually I know there's a screengrab script out there), but worked for me ok in the end. Load it up in image ready and you got your frames all done.
ghost_rider: cheers! you're a blizzard entry machine man I'm loving the personality you're putting in your characters.
kiril0t: woo thanks - good to hear people like my rendition of the character, I just keep looking at him and seeing more and more mistakes and areas I should've fixed haha
MILES: thanks man! as you mentioned, you're right it is only my rendition, of mythic's concept.
ebagg: thanks! And yes to lumpiness that's really where these sculpts are unrefined -- they're from cubes, and done fairly quickly, so there's some really nasty areas.

Anyway, just awesome work. It's so fantastic
I'd love to see his cheek muscles as exaggerated as the rest of him, really make those clackers up front have some power behind them.
