okay, i've had a 360 for a week, in which time i've played doa4, which was sameoldsameold, R* table tennis which was cracking ... and now Dead Rising. Can someone explain to me why i appear to have spent £50 (thats more or less $100) on a loading screen? I mean, there MUST be ways and means to minimise this shit. There must. There is. I know there is. If we can get an entire GTA game loading off a psp umd in the time it takes to load the next snippet of "which fuckin door?" then i'm pretty sure this can be improved. What the hell gives? Anyone?

all that awesome trendy next gen goodness takes time.

or buy a system that doesn't annoy the hell out of you. keep falling for it and eventually those load screens will be replaced with product advertising to help kill 2 minutes of your time.

I heard of other people having that problem. I think they said they fixed it be clearing the cache or something.

But don't take my word for it, I've never even touched a 360 and I live a slightly different version of reality.

I loved the demo, I bought the game and still want to play it but find myself with more reasons not to.

    1) The animations. He runs like he's hurt, old and broken all at the same time. Because he's hold his camera from the players PoV he looks to be doubled over in pain.
1a) The face modeling and animations bother me. Noses are too big, upper lips too short, foreheads too long and teeth too far back in the mouth. Too many times the camera goes in for a close up and it looks like the character has thier face pressed to a plane of glass blowing.
    2) The save system, is broken or never was tested.
    3) That old fucker ottis doesn't leave you alone and you have no way of telling him to shut the hell up.
    4) Weapons that fire projectiles often get stuck shooting at zombies on the ground instead of more dangerous threats. No way to force it to another target.

I want to play it, I want to find out what happens, but I can't over come those problems. Its a shame too it could have been fun.

never had an issue with the load times, my favorite 360 game hands down, then again, 360 games cost $60 in the US (about £32)

I haven't played it in a few days because I've failed the main mission but I'm going to jump back in and kill psychopaths and work on the cult mission.
