Anyone know any good resources for making deformable bird wings (with feathers).
I'm particularly interested on how the rig is setup, and leaning more towards making this for a real-time environment (no Harry Potter hyppogryphs with procedural feather generators).
Also, does anyone know any good games that have good birds as a reference?

You want individual feathers? Or would it been enough to use a couple layers of 1-bit alpha'd planes?
Your best bet is to start gathering all the anatomical reference from real-life that you can, and then go about modeling it like you would any other limb.
