They already have some hacks for this. You could at one point put a flash object on a kioskdisc that streamed from your computer, any audio or video. Dunno if MS patched the OS to not run this unsigned kiosk disc yet. see xbox-scene.com for homebrew apps and such like this.
That kiosk disc, you can replace the .wmv files with your own... and play them.. but it doesn't stream anything. I would applaud a real solution this this.. like the one above.
A little off topic, but I just got a new Dell that came with Windows Media Center. It's pretty cool to watch Recorded shows and Video files thru the 360 without the computer sitting next to my TV.
The 360 can stream WMV files no problem. But I use a tool called Transcode360 to watch Divx/Xvid videos. I'm going to start backing up my DVD's to WMV with MoviePro, since my video card has WMV hardware acceleration on it.
