Looking for a mod team who dig starwars =]

a little about myself:
im a semi-pro character modeler, im not a great texture artist. i specialise mainly in humanoid low-resolution models, but have some experiance in high poly which im hoping to push forward with this mod. i can also animate to a fair degree, something i also want to push forward. im hard working, and hope to use anything from this in a portfolio, and want my team to do the same.


i need:

1 mapper proficient in SOURCE (valve hammer) mapping.
1 programmer EXTREMELY (or at least with a working knowledge) proficient in C++
1 texture artist, who specialises in environment art
1 texture artist, who specialises in human/player art
1 team leader.


the focus of this mod is on single player to begin with, and as we become more proficient in our knowledge of the engine, move on to multiplayer. we are to recreate small scenes and duels from the star wars omnibus using the SOURCE engine (valve, hl2).

i will take the initial modeling position, but im sure we will need more eventually. i will also be animating from the start. but im CERTAIN ill need more animators.

MAPPER:
should be able to accurately recreate scenes from the star wars movies, using everything the source engine has to offer, including the use of normal and cubemaps. you will be working from references both self provided, and provided for you.

PROGRAMMER:
your job is the most difficult, you will need to program melee weapons combat, along with the partical system that will be used for some of the force effects. you will also need to figure out how to create working lightsabers, and how to make the animation system i have divised a reality (doing this could probably land you a job anywhere haha).

TEXTURE ARTISTS:
your jobs are to accurately recreate textures from the star wars universe, from floor and plasteel materials, to realistic human faces. you will be utilising every tool available, including the modeling team to create normal and cube maps for your textures. being able to model will be helpful, as you can then create your own high resolution assets to use as normal bakes.

TEAM LEADER:
your job is not to "lead" per say. you will be no more "in charge" than any other member of the team. however, your job will probably be the most important, as you will need to organise the team, learn their abilities and set timeframes for development. your going to be overseeing the project, and using your leadership abilities to propel us forward.
you may also need to act as, or appoint at some time, a Public Relations advisor, who will let the community know of our progress. you/they will also be in charge of advertising the mod in the best way possible.



if anyone is interested, please post your desired role, and examples of your work. if you have never worked in a specific area before (ie. you can map but havent used hammer) then please do apply, as you will get the chance to learn.

    Ok, given these two sentences, it seems like this mod is basically Jedi Knight: Source, which would land square-flat onto the streets of CnDville. What's wrong with JK2/JKA? No ragdoll and rolling barrel physics? No shiny water? No horrible steam?

    Note that George Lucas does "approve" of Star Wars mods as long as they don't step on Jedi territory as that's their marketing arm.
