ok, This guys done. Thanks for all your Crits and observations, I just need your help with one more thing.
Each entry is only allowed one (1) Image. Im torn over these two images,
should I:
a) Submit a production style presentation sheet that shows all the technical stuff. This would be good so the judges could see my flats and orthos.
b)Just submit the pretty beauty shot because they will want to put these up in a gallery or somehing.
Here are the two pics:

great job! and congrats on finishing.
It might be worth trying out. I like the presentation sheet the most, it just feels complete and shows off all the details.
or maybe add the brownish background to the presentation sheet. and add the border to it too.
Very professional finish on him, and good presentation. The one crit i will offer is that the weapon could benifit from some more obvious weathering, like a strategically placed rust/blood streak to break. The metal looks great but its very uniform. Same advice for the pouch.
Pretty minor crit though. GG!
Though, perhaps you could just make the file larger and put the flats underneath, and the details (like the polycount) can be put above where you have the contest logo now. Or something like that.
Nice work, btw, even though the concept of mixing races sounds a bit silly, it came out very well and it's an interesting direction for an Orc.
Anyways, I totally love this model, great job.
Have you thought about compositing him ingame? maybe against the thunderBluff city. I'm going to composite my entry to see what it would look like in game. If you want a particular screenshot, I can capture it for you in the wow viewer.
Nice job dude, I say go with the beauty.
This is a fantastic piece. I watched it from the beginning in the what are you working on thread. Good stuff, ghost.
I think Xenobond has the right idea. Show them the beauty render and link to the overview sheet. If they'll let you, just submit both!
Good job man!
great mesh!
Oh, and nice work, mate. You should be in with a real chance with that model.
A few crits I had: The skin especially looks overly shaded with white, and could benefit from having a solidly chosen color for the light plane, the transition area, and the shadows. Right now most of it seems that base green, and then gradiates smoothly to white, with no color in between.
The contrast is overly distracting all over. It's super strong from head to toe. Picking a focul point like the chest and face and making it so that it's noticably higher key than the rest, will make it easier to read visually.
For the overlays, I found a nice trick that you might find helpful in your workflow. When you're done painting the volume layer, lift it to a new layer, and place on top of the overlay layer. Desaturate the volume layer and auto levels. Then group (alt+g) that volume layer to just the overlay layer, and change your volume layer to overlay mode. Now your overlay layer has volume information in it too. What this allows you to do is put the overlay on in a stronger value and it gets lighter and less noticable on the bright areas, but stronger in the darks. Right now your's is on so strong in some areas that it obscures the lighting information, but also gets lost in the extreme darks.
I really like your finished product, it's definitely of the quality I could see winning!
I'm excited for you. win win!
That brush you used for the brown border on the beauty render is my favourite PS brush ever!
Nice job dude, I say go with the beauty.
