What is del.icio.us?

del.icio.us is a collection of favorites - yours and everyone else's. Use del.icio.us to:

* Keep links to your favorite sites and access them from any computer on the web.
* Share favorites with friends, family, and colleagues.



What I like about it is that you are able to bookmark links for other people. These go into another folder, "Links for you" which you can then keep or discard. It's very handy.

I use Google's Bookmark sync extension for Firefox. It lets me have whatever book marks I have at work on my home PC aswell. It's super handy.

I've tried del.icio.us and didn't quite like it. I might check it out again though...

I have a delicious account but use it sporadically. It's definitely great for sharing links, though I don't find it quite direct enough as a persoanl bookmarking tool. For day to day stuff I use the Foxmarks extension for Firefox which syncs your Firefox bookmarks between different PC's. 'tis great.

Has anyone tried Google's bookmark-syncer, which --as i seem to recall-- ties in with FF?
i don't use del. myself anymore, as it was too much of a hassle.
