3DSM 8 viewport texture problem

I have this really annoying problem with max viewport textures showing up looking 8bit. It only happens when I run max with opengl, in direct3d it runs fine but it limits my viewport sizes. I never had this problem before, but since I reformatted my laptop I get this problem with max, here is what my textures look like:

I am not sure of my exact specs but I know this laptop has a "Mobility Radeon". If anyone can point me to a setting that I can change to fix this or something to get textures back to displaying true resolution I would really appreciate it. smile.gif

    make sure you run in 32 bits desktop, else gl driver might create issues. I had a radeon as well and did use a tool to get latest drivers (as the laptop vendors hardly ever update theirs, but catalys is by default not installable). "dhmodtool" or so is the name.

    other than that make sure the viewport options ar set properly

    AHH! Thank you very much, I was running in 16bit, I switched it to 32bit and it displayed the textures perfectly. Thanks again laugh.gif .
