WW2 Sarge - WIP -

WW2 Sarge I have been working on. With gear including a Thompson and some more ammo packs hes around 1500tris, without hes around 1020. I still have yet to go back and really detail him to make him pop, fix his color, uniform texture etc.



Looking forward to any crits on him so far.

Nice. I like the style you've taken, very painterly. That said, I think you can take the contrast and color variation in his face much further. It's a tad "blah" right now.

American soilder? Definately has a very asian look to him. Not that i doubt that there were asian soilders fighting for hte US durring WWII. Just want to call attention to it if it wasnt intentional...

Style is sort of cool, needs a lot of touching up tho.

poop - I totally agree, hes very rough right now and needs a lot of touchup.

eq - thats funny, as I was finishin the base of his face I thought the same thing. It 'really' wasn't intentional and I might end up changing him up, but for right now I kinda like it

The style reminds me of No One Lives Forever, and thats definately a good thing in my book. Like it.

I agree that the face could use more contrast, but I love the almost comicbook-like hardness of his features. He doesn't look Asian, jusy squinty.

Yeah, personally I think its a strange decision to have what looks like 6 sided arms and yet only 4 sided legs in cross section. How about 5 each? Other than that he's got some interesting qualities.

hes pretty much an RTS unit so I wanted him to have a bit more geo in his arms, closer to the camera. To keep his poly count down his legs suffered in the end, like a good soldier.
