I don't know this board's interest in Gary Numan, but I just feel like posting it anyway.
I know this is gonna come off like a 16 year old fanboy post. But I just got back from seeing him Live. And Christ on toast it was absolutely amazing! He played all the songs I love (Ranging from Down in the Park to Dark). And yes, he even played Cars, I'm not particularly fond of the song, but I found myself singing to it regardless.
Then afterwards, my friends and I went to go eat at a bar, and I accidentally walked in on the guitarist in the bathroom, a little bit later afterwards I asked him if we could meet Mr. Numan. He informed us that he was talking to people two blocks down. So we rushed and there was a small group of people waiting to see him, and it was fucking awesome talking to him because he's such a nice guy.
I don't really know how into electronic music you folk are, but Gary Numan is like the godfather of electronic music. And I never thought I'd get to see him in concert, just because he tours so rarely, and I just didn't think I would get to.

I do like Numan and it must have been pretty cool to have met him. One thing though, it's generally accepted that Kraftwerk are the grandfathers of electronic music
Thanks for telling me, maybe i'll get to see him yet. He's on my list of 'awesome stuff i'll never get to see live', because i thought he wasn't touring anymore
He's classic, lucky you got to see him
Oh and MightyPea, he also told me that he'll be touring next spring as well.
though personally, I really liked the Jagged album but I thought most of the lyrics were clich
I just remember him drinking a can of coke and driving around the stage in this pyramid car thing
