I'm doing a driving game for DS set on an island. Thanks to Telekinetic Frog for some prop DS spec info.
The scene itself is less than 900 triangles and just short of 3x128x128 total (no individual texture is larger than a 64x64. The car alone is 248 triangle and a 64x64 texture.

Ok, that's probably a lie. (There are some pretty impressive 3D racers on GBA, though) But take look at these screens from Asphalt: Urban GT (DS):

a shark fin would spred panic, allthough I guess the driver couldn't care less
Rocking the WRX. My only real crit and an anal one at that is that on the tunnel (where it joins the fence), the concrete doesn't seam correctly.
