Since we are waving goodbye to the cottages, I grabbed a CGhosting pack and have now settled in over at www.daveking.com.au - expect a fresh overhaul and completely new art and tutes soon
My Firefox popup blocker blocks some of the gallery images but not all. The 5th, 6th, 7th ones evade the popup blocker. Looks like some inconsistent popup code.
btw tables "align=top, middle, bottom" has been removed from standard html markup, meaning you orc appears half way down the page in safari and other standard compliant browsers.
Your menu is a bizarre width="53%" meaning the whole thing bunches up. You site is told to be width="1074" "0" height="1111", this is just asking for trouble.
although this is not for crits, you should think about re-designing using style sheets if you have some time. Tables are slowly becoming more dangerous for layout as browsers update to todays standards, and making the whole thing in dreamweaver layout view will only lead to pain in the long run.
hawken, what happens if someone turns off the page style? How do you keep cell/row formatting if it's all in the CSS? Or just screwn 'em? I guess I need to learn more about accessibility, since that's what I'm wondering about.
if someone uses thier own style sheet for browsing the internet they are probably hard of sight. It's a very low percentage, not many people know of that function.
a well designed site will parse well without any style sheet at all, if properly laid out in a linear manner. Even down to mobile devices in some cases!
also there is no cell or row formatting to worry about with divs / spans etc. Tables are good for data like statistics. Writing HTML was never really designed with any sort of design layout devices in mind until CSS came along, it really is the saviour of layout on the web.
Recently I got involved with a site and tried valiantly to get them to switch from tables and embedded fonts, but to no avail, even when I showed that their current MENU repeatedly embedded on every page was taking 108K of space on its own, and my identical version took under 1k and was laoded once.

Because UBBthreads is derived from the old wwwthreads software from the mid 90s, so net terminologies were quite early
