actully it looks good to me. although he might need some more lovin in the whole hips area and his feet have somethign looking wierd to me. you also have a bunch of polies in his pecs and trapezieus (sp??) opposed to a rather lower poly distribuion through out the rest of the mesh.. also could we get some specs on it? anyway keep at it.

New people always start out with a Goku model. What is it about him. Theres millions of other anime characters out there, many of which don't have such bizarre proportions which will only serve to throw off the proportions of future models... madness I say.

Anyway, He's looking pretty close to property. I think you're likely to run into problems with the elbows when you come to animate him.

@ jerome: he is 1318 triangles, i still have to cut out useless poly's, so thats why the everything is a bit overdetailed..
@ Jackablade: Lol.. im not new.. i started modeling goku a year ago.. coincedently with a goku as well.. lol the gap..

@ Asherr: I'll see what i can do about it

Thnx for the crits, keep em coming!

    Update
I fixed the heads U shape and made it a bit more like a rotated D shape
Made some folds in the pants, bit baggier at the back
    scaled the last 3 spikes.

jackablade: probably because of the ease of finding reference. tongue.gif

you may want to bring the crotch up a little.
your cloth fold look really messy
his feet are way to short and stubby. especially for a DBZ character

fingers look far too long on every shot except for the front... hmm.

His thumb is looking pretty unnatural at the moment. I think it might go down too far, and the angle looks sort of like his thumb broke.

here's a shot from the Blizzard! thread of Neo_God's hand. Take a look at the poly flow and position of the fingers and thumb.

over all, I'd say you've done a good job. definately one of the better goku's I've seen, the hair especially looks like a good translation to 3D.

I'd like to see a more realistic texture on him. Might be interesting, if only as a change from the norm.

Agreed, more palm, less fingers...at least in bottom view thats what it looks like. Maybe check palm proportions?, id center the hand with the wrist and adjust wrist scale...make the transition smoother after the "wrist band".

Check the thumb shape...your own hands are good reference wink.gif.
