Going to make this page my thread similiar to conceptart.org's sketchbook progress threads. I'll be putting my work as I go so you all can see my progress.
Crits always welcome, it's the only way to learn!
Of course it's from a tutorial.
but anyhow, I'm finally getting into modelling and trying to get comfortable in Maya for classes.. Here's my first real attempt at modelling .. Any crits would be appreciated.
I've still got a ways to go, some suckers on the tentacles, placing the tentacles, the other eye and the other gill.. but it's a start.

Here's a head I'm working on. Any crits are greatly appreciated, it's my first head model.
Crits, welcome! Thanks.
Too many poly's in the eye and lid, but that's what our instructor asked for, something like 20 sections/20 spans.. just using the sphere's end/begin sweep for the blink..
Ears were an add on (had on my drive from turbosquid I think...)
Any crits, greatly welcomed. First lipsynch..

any crits appreciated again as seen above it was a single nurbs sphere head with no ik or anything just using blend shapes for the mouth shapes.
http://www.jeremytoons.com/wip/400_buddy.zip it's a quicktime movie about 20 megs.
And Happy Birthday! I hope you have a good one.

it's about 6 meg..
Should I convert these to avi or mpg and up them to like youtube or something?
Re-working on the gnomon video's got to make a 3000 face character for our class.. I re-worked the eye on this one after taking the pic, it's now just capped I'll texture the eye..
Wires of a 2000 face character for class this week, I was going to use the head above but didn't want to get too stylized as I was warned it might give me trouble when we rig it. Our instructor also wanted us to pose in a 90 degree t stance for easier rigging for now..(Our next assignment)
I know I could have used textures for the belt and straps and possibly done the same for the backpack thing, but I needed some extra faces to get 2000 faces in there...
Crits and suggestions more the welcome.

assignment was 6 different animatations. walk, run, jump, punch, shoot, idle
not too bad for my first full character, i learned alot and see where I can fix some of my mistakes on my next model.
Crits welcome, I'd like to get much better
I think the run could use some more weight to it. Looks like he's skipping/floating. Like you said though, not bad for a first full character
