whoa the big 3-0, see i use to think bobo was just a god at art but if i had been on the earth since the victorian age i would probably be awesome too.
Thanks all! This birthday has been pretty interesting. It's hit me a lot more than the others but in a good way. I started feeling old and drained of energy, so a month ago I decided it's about time to get back in shape. I started playing basketball and walking. The first few times playing ball killed my knees but it started getting better. Just when I thought all was good, I fell and bruised some ribs! Im determined though! I started making a list of things I wanted to get back into as I used to be quite the athlete. I gained 80 pounds since Ive been in the industry. Its all this damn free soda, pizza, and sitting all day. Ive set a goal to loose 40 pound in a year. Wish me luck and ask me about it this time next year!
I'm told that 40 is easier than 30. 30 seems most often to be the age where many ask ' is this it ? ', perhaps because after hitting our 20's and realizing that we don't feel grown up, we figure that by 30 we will have thing figured out better and feel more like an adult.
By 30 we realize, er...nope, probably never going to really feel much more like an adult than I do right now, might as well start sorting out the mess
Or maybe not!?
Either way, I had the same sense of 30 meaning something more than 20.25 etc and I'd heard the 30 something crowd talking similar since my early 20's so what the hey!
Either way, I think 30 is a good number, there's a lot less that seems worth getting upset over and understanding that 'yes, this IS it...' makes everything afterwards easier I think.
All the best...
PS. Nose hair needing trimmed more than it used to now is it?
I've had good luck with martial arts, there is just enough of a fun factor to keep me hooked on it. It's a bit lower impact on the knees than basketball- unless someone kicks you there I guess.

Good luck with the weight loss, adding pounds definitely something this industry seems to cause on a rampant scale.
