I'm totally new here *waves* and thought I'll try to do something for the contest. I don't have my concept sketches on the computer, but this is what I've done.
Should I do something more on it, it is a bit booring. and is there anything I can do better please tell me (I'm rather new to 3d modelling).

And I was also thinking about alpha mapping the strings on the guitar, I still can't really figure out how you people make these "thin" polygons. Here is my problem:
I'm not sure this is the "right" way to do this though (I just extruded the edge)
Select the "unweldable" vertexes, then push "WELD", not "TARGET WELD".

Or 'collapse', if you want to make things easier.
if you are in edit poly, that is an illegal weld, you can't have a flat plane coming out of solid geometry, you will need to detach the plane, and just have it snapped to the verts there

Thanks alot mate, that saved me alot of trouble aswell
And the new zebra with textures:
Starting to like this now, this is my second full textured character
Also give him some Eyelids in your texture...you could make his eyes have some other expression than"OH GOD MY EYEBALLS ARE GOING TO EXPLODE" hehe...
keep it up, ur almsot there.
thumbs up over here
