Thanks guys! Sorry I've been gone so long, I just got back from the Uintas (mountain range here in utah) so I can finnally get to modeling this guy. Here's my progress this night. Got the shape of his face, I have it how I like it, but it's eating a lot of polies (2000 is low, GH the game had at least 4000). I'll see what I can sacrifice without loosing a lot of shape.
Forgive the double post, I finished the mesh. I barely topped it off at 1994 tris total. I had to sacrifice a great deal of detail on the face for the rest of the body. *tear*
Let me know if I should make some proportional changes. Redlines or morphs are encouraged.
Hmm, I pretty much finished this guy in about 6 hours. I'm getting faster. Off to bed, now.
great stuff makkon, the model looks very cool.
you could probably put some more polys in the knees, for better deformation if you rig him.
i'd also look at some more reference for the shape of the violin, your concept has more of a violin shape to the guitar body, but the model is a bit ambiguous and formless - those cutaways halfway down the body should go in more, check it out: http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/~jw/graphics/violin.jpg
really love the face and upper body. but the lower body, especially the lower legs are really bring it down for me. the upper body and lower look like they come from different models. i know you were playing with proportions but to me it looks like you pushed the lower body too far.
yeah, the GH models were between 3000 and 4000 from the unlockable character video. i know i would like to have had more polies as well

About halfways down there's a few black and red guitars that have that fancy-looking "S" shape cut into them, definitely makes me think of a violin.
Updated him, I gave him a wider build, though I think he could be exaggerated further.
looking forward to see this progressing
