I might have time for this one, so I chose funk star Eddie Hazel, Funkadelic + Parliament guitarist.
My guitar hero will be based on Eddie Hazel, and since I had trouble finding good references of him, especially anything larger than image above, I'll probably end up with something more like this:

Funkadelic isn't my favorite funk band, but I had in mind the afrofuturism and outer space themed jazz and funk mainly, and was thinking of Sun Ra and all the crazy outfits he had, but Sun Ra is all but guitarist.
Anyways, here's the doodle I ended up with:
1208 tris thus far; still need to add hair and guitar and a few other small things.
Right now he's at 1887 tris, and almost unwrapped, just need to fit all the pieces together.
Done with skeleton, started texture:

I'll need to wrap this up by tonight, cause I got no more time to spare. I'm pretty much done with texture, just need to figure out a good pose.

Spacey, you're right, I was thinking of changing cape color to break up the silhouette, but didn't find a good combination, so I just did a quick adjustment, I hope it reads a little better now:

Well, I guess that's it from me, I need to submit now, because I'll be away tomorrow. I greatly enjoyed working on this little dude, and I hope to do some more soon.
