I wish the lil guy made sounds when he'd hit stuff, or get sent off into the air. Looks like with some polish it could be a game that could be released on a console.
Void 1 is much more difficult than it first looks haha. I love this kind of stuff, I used to play The Incredible Machine when I was eight years old all the time. Nice find.
Lol, and I though this was going to be a topic about a rocket test run by armadillo aerospace (private space company founded by John Carmack... the guy from id software) after reading the topic
If you liked those physics based puzzles you might be interested to look into the games that probably pioneered this style of gameplay, the bridge games available here.
YEah I love this game! I played the demo a couple months ago and completly loved it. I liked replaying the levels to get a super low score - I finished "drop" using with $188 left
Thanks to you guys I just bought the full version this morning and have started playing through it.
One trick I like to use to give the ball a boost - drop an angled metal plate on it from up high. Works great on the level you're talking about ("golf"). I used just 2 metal plates - both angled about 45 degress. Dropped them in quick succession on the ball from as high as I could. Works great on "nudge" too (that's where I first thought of it).
heres my most elaborate solution to over and under. i beast it before this with cheaper resources, but it was what i considered a cheat win,, so i wanted to do it as elaborate and neat as i could in the budget. in the first frame, the orange bits are all that i started the level with, everything else i made
brome you get past nudge? it was fairly easy, just do like whar said up above,, or like i did, i just made a one metal sheet flapper on the middle anchor, standing almost straight up, and wiggle it around where it stays ballanced long nough for the ball to get at the stopping point then it swings down and boots the ball,, only took like 3 trys to get the timing right..
also do you know that holding shift alows you to move around already placed pieces? just asking cause i did not know that till i was over half way thru witht he game
aaaaaaaaaaaarggggghhh. Even though i bought it, i can't play this, my brain just doesn't work in this way. I've downloaded a few levels for inspiration, none of these even incredibly simple solutions would ever have clicked.

Thanks for the hook up Mojo
Played the demo; I'll definitely buy it eventually. I'd get it now, but i've got shit to do!

Also, if you guys like this you should check out Tube Twist. Very similar and addictive game.

i made a rather odd swinging hammer using all the metal sheets i could aford, with a hinging slam action..

ball leaves it's little sack, bounces off cloth and back in to the sack while the sack falls.
The best ones I've seen yet (not mine - I haven't even tried ccustom built ones yet):
This one is just unbelievabale:

and this one is totally rad for the "wall switch" it pulls:

i just paid for this. I'm totally in awe of engineering, but i'm also utterly clueless at it. Hopefully i might learn something along the way
...and sorry, it wasn't nudge I was stuck on it was Guillotine.
:P
I'm on up and over now, or over under... whichever, it's a bitch.
i'm gonna get pissed and go out brainiac-bashing.
Void 15 is a bitch!
