I am not familiar with all the aspects of normal map yet. But it seems it's only good for rendering in certain angle. Because no matter how much light I put on right side, when I turn the camera to render in a different angle, one side of the model is not lite up at all. Anyone mind give me some tips on this? I don't recall games having this problem...

However, as ScoobyDoofus said, you could be a lot clearer - you didn't even mention what program you're using, which makes it pretty much impossible to provide accurate help.
Have you tried flipping channels?
Basically, I just use surface sampler create a normal map from a high poly model. Then I just link the normal map to the low poly model inside hypershade.
You'll need a specialised shader. Try js_normalmapper:
