Nacho Libre

Aside from a few boring stretches and a goody goody ending, this is a worthy followup to Napoleon Dynamite.

I saw it in a packed theater, and there were consistent laughs throughout the film. It's a well done, often surreal, movie where, much like ND, shows how an outcast can win the hearts of those around him without conforming.

Anyone else catch it?

Cute movie. It was funny, a lot like ND in ways, and had some quality wrestling (not just joke stuff). good time at the movies if not a little kiddie.

I was considering giving that doofus Black a chance and seeing this movie... you just convinced me not to.

I'll wait to see it on dvd after a friend gets it.

It was a good movie, not a great one. A definite rental.
I would certainly recommend seeing it once.

I like Jack Black and Napoleon Dynamite was great so I really want to see this. I've read favorable reviews of it, too. But what I really want to know is when's the next Tenacious D album coming out dammit!?!?!

You must have missed all the bad ones.

I quite liked it for a while but it got old and I was pretty happy when it was over. Some of the formulas were just way too close to Napoleon Dynamite for my liking, so it felt a bit like more of the same but not nearly as fresh and funny. People with dodgy accents, ugly people, misfits, underdogs etc.
I hope Jared Hess does something different next time around. Otherwise he's in danger of becoming a one trick pony in the same vein as M. Night Shyamalan or Guy Ritchie.
It was entertaining for the first half.

I liked it a lot. I thought that Jack Black did an absolutly awsome job acting...and some of his facial expressions were hillarious. The scenery in the movie was very pretty as well..it was cool that they shot it on location. Overall a very fun movie.
