Good to see you pump out those models, you're a real machine!.
textured the pants, chest, sides, arms
made a little beauty scene
added a quick rig
is it finished? Depending on the crits i get.. =/
2100 triangles including swords.
Oh btw the swords say: Wrath Spectre and Fiery Hell
as far as modelling goes i cant really comment because its not my area but the texturing is not great, i think thats what needs your attention most right now
Try a texture overlay in an above layer. Concretes seem to work in most cases:D More directional lighting would also be a good idea. Right now your lighting is painted sorta like a bump map, where the raised areas are lighter and the receding areas are darker. Try to define your forms according to a stationary light source. Keep it up:)
Okay ill do some texturing than, I've already done but you can barely see it trhough the wires. Anyways i said i would post it so here it is, wires of them head.
Thnx for all the C&C keep em coming
Man, this is sooo half-assed...doesnt do justice to scorpion either =(
I hate it when i have to rush things...
.. well that was it.. half-assed..yes..ah well..
I made a video again just like with naruto :P this time much cooler though..

nice but my issue here is you seemed concentrated on the presentation of him far too early on, you started that stage ages back, you should have concentrated on getting him done.
and why did you have to rush? (if you dont mind me asking)
Modelwise I´d say he needs to look more buff.
He looks way too thin now.
Texturewise he needs more interesting details.
You could add a trim to the yellow part for example...stitches, borders and stuff to make it look more like a real outfit rather than plain colored pieces of whatever his clothes are made of.
You have a good base but the Skin needs more contrast and more highlights.
Get rid of the grain in his face and try to make it look more like the arms.
I´d suggest to look at some of the renders from MK 4-6...maybe you can copy one or another thing and still do your own impression of the character.
Overall it looks ok but you could do a lot better.
The Vid was cool :]
lol cross-eyed scorpion XD
this is not the last you've seen of him though.. Im going to keep working on him, i just had to finish/render him today for a contest i was working on.
The texture needs a lot more time. Later versions of Scorpion have quite a lot of detail (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d3/ScorpionMKSM.jpg ,) just go ahead and start painting it. Even if it doesn't come out perfectly, it's a good learning experience and your character will show for it. Also, color variation if important.
Replies
-Work on his foot, too DBZ for my taste.
-The bicep looks like a diamond...i dunno what the target count is, but try to focus more on the shape first.
-Hand too small (the hand should be roughly same length as forearm).
-Bring the arm back slightly.
-The back of the neck should flow with the trapezius muscle, make the transition smoother from back to neck.

Close up...
A quick pose
C&C Plz
hm i wouldnt know how to =/... Im not that good with realistic textures.. as far as this can be considered realistic =(
a draw/paintover would be apreciated
Do something about your arms. They look very tubey. especially around the wrist.
Hands and feet look to be very small on your model.
Thnx for all the C&C keep em coming
Ive done a harpoon but its hidden, ill render it tommorow
Ive added in more directional light (i hope)
and a overlay as you can see..
*tweaked the eyes quite allot
*scaled from hips downards with 105%
*bigger mask
*maybe somehing im forgetting
*note: The 2nd pic was taken earlier than the first.. so the face is different.. i moved the eyes in the first render a bit closer to eachother.

and move his pupils to a more centered position so he's not cross-eyed.

Good luck, and keep it up.
