excellent send-up of 70's and 80's fantasy tropes. Korgoth himself is pretty obviously in the Brock mold, but that's just fine with me. i really enjoyed the comic timing of the show, especially the intro bit with the henchmen. here's hoping the henchmen show up in future episodes
"Metalocalypse (alternately titled Dethklok Metalocalypse) is a cartoon set to air on Adult Swim created by Brendon Small and Tommy Blacha. The show is greenlit for 20 episodes, and begins in August of 2006. The show is described as 'Spinal Tap meets Scooby-Doo meets Norway.'"

How did you manage to get the episode out of their embedded player?

I used a program called Capturewiz, I had change performance to medium in windows media player so it doesn't use the hardware overlay surface... then you can capture it with any type of software really.
I only captured enough to make my avatar, I didn't realize it would only be up for one night (it aint on the fix no more). I believe they are showing it tonight at 12:30am and tomorrow night at 10:30 (right after Futurama, sweet!) on Adult Swim.
Caught an episode of it last night on adult swim (the "Spectar the magician" one), great show. Definitely agree with gauss about the Brock-ishness of Korgoth, but I always thought Brock was one of the better characters on Venture Bros. May try to catch future episodes, but I'm off of the cartoon binge I was on past months, so if it's on, I'll watch it.

I can see huge influence from the movie Fire and Ice.
That and Diedrich Bader is the voice of Korgoth.
ME WANT KORGOTH!!!
Its got nice animation and backgrounds, voice actors and story.
Gore, comedy, gratuitious sex appeal, action, badassness
I reminds me of a mix of heavy metal, conan, castlevania, ironsword / W&W.
As much as I like He-man this is the mega testosterone end of the spectrum. Brilliant show.
