photoshop brush size

i doubt theres a fix for this,, but fig i'll ask, in photoshop the [ and ] keys that chang brush size,, work fine, but when you get it to size 10,, onemore click knocks it up to 20,, this jump in size anoys me, and i have to go in and manualy set the slider to get a size 12 brush size.. any way to make it where it always bumps up in steps of 1?

uh this isnt a user error.... and sorry rhino i dunno if there's a fix...a workaround could be to place incremental brush sizes for that range beside the brush you use and hit , and . to toggle between the different brushes...
