Ok well after spending a while going threw the site I still can't figure out what it about... However it interests me so I figured I'd become a user and ask. Although I doubt I'll have much to say here besides overflow everyone with questions...Anyways heres the big question. Whats this site all about?

green cause we are leperchauns.. this site is moslty about 3d modeling (like for video games and such) as hoby and possible carear, its frequented by people who are just learning to make art for games, as well as a whole buch of pro's in the game industry

I'm amazed I missed that...lol anyways thanks for the info also is it hard to learn to use 3ds max? I downloaded it played with it for an hour and gave up I've always bin interested iun stuff like this and I always wanted to go into computer but I'm curently being pushed in welding...Oh well thanks for the help!

there's a lot of confusing stuff in max that you'll probably never need to touch - if you head straight for the poly-modelling and basic texturing user tutorials (i'm sure someone who's not about to shut down and go home can point some out for you) you'll have a much easier time

Or you might want to try out Wings 3D ... or Silo.
Wings 3D is a free program, Silo costs $109 but there's a 30-day trial on their site.
Do a google search, you should find them easily enough. Download them and look on their various forums for tutorials.
Probably more straightforward for modelling than 3dsmax.

Duckman: Ages on these boards range from about 15 - 50+.
Average is probably somewhere in the mid-twenties.

I was uncomfortable on Modo, though, despite it's being an obviously excellent modeling tool.

Three things could be wrong here...one i'm looking at the wrong site for wings 3d two My head is sweeling more from my operation on tuesday and it's screwing with my ability to think correctly or I'm just plain dumb...I need help how and where do I download this from?
