photoshop problem

when you click on a swatch it goes into your foreground color, and you paint

somehow, now it goes into my background color, and i have to flip using X to paint with it.
if i alt-click on my swatches instead then it would go as normally into my foreground color.

how can i kill this? i'm "pretty sure" by default when you click on a swatch it goes into the FG color not BG color, and this is driving me crazzzzy
help help?

This isn't a practical joke, right? Because I'm pretty sure alt-clicking on a swatch deletes the swatch.

no CTRL - click = delete swatch/brush/etc.

like i said normal click on a swatch--> BG color
alt-click on a swatch -> FG color
i dont want this i want it normal (or what i believe was normal, i can't remember)

he was there for like 10 seconds!!!!!!!!!
and then flew off to the monitor and shit, i didnt even realize cuz i was typing...

Yeah that happened to my bro while he was playing Civilization IV on my PC. He didn't mind it, he just went on and on playing the game while it crawled up his neck.

Can't help ya, it's alt-click on Photoshop 7 to CS2, that I'm sure of.

thanks, i think's it's a ps bug. if u move the color sliders (HSB/RGB/ETC) it effects my BG color as well, and im Sure it used to effect the FG color. something has been shifted,

the forces of evil and good battle behind the scenes.

Yeah, I've had that bug before ... I just deleted the prefs settings and restarted PS, it was back to normal.

Other people have had it before, I think there is a fix which doesn't require reinstalling or changing it at all, but I can't remember...

Yeah, I've gotten that a few times, and I've just waited it out, or deleted the prefs file.
If I recall correctly, holding Shift while PS starts, or ctrl-shift deletes the prefs file.
