Actually a dark grey would have been a better choice as a background, because with the white, there's now too much contrast between the character and the background to make anything out on the character.
hmm I don't think you'll get a terribly positive response if you're just going to paste a logo onto someone elses skin and recolour it. Hope you plan to do more than that!
i am sorry actually, NeoGod beat me to it .. but like i said .. it's basic colour theory, if you want to present your models with the lest interference you want some kind of a neutral gray to make sure you dont have drastic contrast ... you also have to account that some people might have their brightness turned down so many will see a completely darky smudge ..
Now I would suggest to paint some detail on that gray base. Textil textures, wrinkles and other detail. Keep it up Kai, seeing your first real skin ingame is a rewarding experience
try and search for images that you would like your skin to resemble, get lots of reference. SAS dudes with winkles in their clothing etc. Do your best to make those details yourself on the skin, post what you do and people here will point you in the right direction. Try not to think in terms of 'it's too difficult' just go ahead and have a shot at it
Why would a covert ops soldier want essentially a giant white 'X' on his back? I sense a german tank fiasco here with this poor guy. Of course, it could be worse. At least he doesn't work for Target...
right but as far as i can see its still the original texture with the logo pasted on it, even if you finish it its still someone elses texture that you've just modified.
start from scratch.
it's not even a very good version of the logo. It's heavily warped and disproportioned. I could wip up the logo in vector in about oh... 5 mins and i'm not even an artist.. put some effort into it.
