He figured out the tricky stuff, I painted the flats. We were fully licensed by id too. Ah, that was back in the days when I used to actually have entrepreneureal ideas.

The 'texture flats' aren't really of much use when it comes to digital models cheap (and bloodyhell I'd forgotten how rough the paint was)

Hell, Nowadays you could concievably have used some Render To Texture function and gotten the original texture onto your paper doll.
