poppin in ... with some nondigitals

a couple weeks ago i got to know a guy from france
who had moved into the room i lived before. hes into
graffity and so i got myself a bit of interest into that
stuff and bought myself some cans and started to try out
what i can do with those.

i found it to be not to far away from photoshop and so im
quiet pleased with the results that i got after just a few
attemps.


there are people that have done some more photographs of
other pics of mine but i still got to get those.




one quick thing i did with rest cans




this one is a collaboration we split the work in back ground and the character. i did the ape




one i did on one idle afternone on a legal wall




this one is digital of course. i havent done any digital painting really in the last months. this one is from last night and i did a bit tweakin this mornin

Hey Qube. I'm from kolding, denmark and about 50% of the graphic design students here are grafitti painters so I see a lot of it. I love your work!!! ..and this grafitti is superb man. You got talent. Your work is different, but the execution and style is excellent!

So last evening i had a lil bikecrash and was very nervous
after that, couldnt really calm down and i sat down with
a friend and did these 2 pieces in 10-15 minutes each while
she was ranting about this and that. it was just letting
it flow. no thinking just tryin to fart out this stress...

Hey, nice to see some new faces on the street art scene.

The can is quite a versatile tool, most dont realize exactly how much until theyve played with one.

I really like your charcoal drawings, and the abstract ones make me want to give up my vandetta with modern art. i really love those pieces.

My favorite out of all of them has to be the guy in the chair with the striped shirt. I dont know what it is, but I like it alot.

I'm not sure if it's taboo to ask this, but do you have any high resolution images that could be used as desktops? I'd love to stare at one of these all day.

yea i can make something that fits a screen. what would a high resolution be? (1600x1200?). the thing is an aspect ratio like this is never so dynamic so it would be 1600x300 or whatever .... but i can make something of course. and yea they are all bigger than what u see

Oh, the aspect really wouldn't matter so long as it's a high resolution. I'd happily slap a 1600x300 on my desktop and use flat color for the rest.

In any case, keep up the great work!

Flash -> trace bitmap would probably work quite well since they're already fairly simple shapes (if run on a higher-res image).

Or you could use something like Genuine Fractals to scale them up better than just resampling.

You know what would make those pictures even better?
Hideing some actual meaningful shapes somewhere in them for the viewer to discover, but it should be not too easy

screw the threads title this is getting more and more
digital... actually i havent touched any paper for quiet a
while. not exactly a fault i guess but whatever

so im picking up one older concept of mine. since i just
finished one skin for one of the PinGuys that i had started
ages ago (to be seen on my site), i found it was time to go further with the
vehicles too. these dont look so cute. but they are atleast
roughly what i had in mind in those days. they are not
actually for the purple PinAlien or the PinPirat.
They are just random versions of the ChickenBots(tm)...

very griddy in bad fog u shouldnt breath...

i actually like this one as far as the ideas go quiet much.
since the chinese hats are very remarkable and would make a

try putting some marks for the ground perspective (also "pathway" to lead the eye),
