Im going about the edge loop head animation idea a bit differently from most. Versus starting with a box or extruding edges and building the surface from scratch, Im using splines (too many years of Illustrator I guess). As such, the tutorials I have seen are only of limited value since they focus so much on the subdivision method of boxes.
What would help me out even more if someone would be willing to send me a well formed non tri head that I can view inside max as to get better angles and detail shots of areas that Im trying to figure out how to get to shape right (as far as keeping a consistent loop).
No, Im not going to use yours for anything other as a study to see how the flow works.

Ahhh, found it, had a d/l in my library. It's a 3MB MHT-format file, an IE-readable HTML variant that incl. pictures. Want me to email it?

I need something much more advanced specific to making next gen heads with good edge loop topology for facial animation/next gen. Since I believe this doesnt exist for splines, again, if someone knows where a good example sub d head that has excellent topology that can be opened in max (ie a physical object versus just a online tut). It would really help me study how to adapt my splinging methods.
on a side note i had an interesting conversation with a programmer at work, about how programmers like to share everthing and artist wont share anything, and so what you get is all this amazing innovate new software, but everyone still sucks at art.
Thanks for sharing these, I'm thinking of ripping David's arm off for a quickie tech demo piece. When we eventually make the source max file public, as tutorial fodder, your name will be in the Summary Info as a modeler credit... do you want me to use your real name? And is that usage cool with you?
Btw, useing a more open format (.max can really only be used if you own max) would probably be helpful.
Oh and would this be the appropiate licence you put that stuff under:
