Anyone in Portmouth area?

I'm going to be over there for a bit I just found out. I'm leaving tomorrow during Lost (wtf) and will be there till next weekend. What is there to do in the area? Everyone I talk to there says drink, which is fine by me (Daz or Poop can testify). Anything else I should see or do there?

Take a ferry to the isle of Wight perhaps. If you can travel a little definitely see the New Forest. It is beautiful. Bournemouth a little further up the coast is pretty nice too:

I live in the next town over from Pompey, I did originally intend to defend the place but when you read stuff like this http://travel.guardian.co.uk/news/story/0,,1773925,00.html it becomes a tad difficult. As far as things to do, the area around the dock has been receiving a renovation in the last 5 years of so and recently opened the "spinnaker" tower http://www.lusas.com/case/civil/spinnaker_tower.html which is cool if looking down over Gosport gets you wet. Oh and Daz that’s cruel, I mean what if he had gone to the isle of Wight there idea of fun is the annual garlic festival http://www.wightonline.co.uk/iowgarlicfestival/ followed by rigorous incest.
